If you’re looking for something fun to do this summer, check out the Sunday summer concert series at La Mesa. We’ll be sponsoring the “Sundays at Six” Summer Concert Series, held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Sunday evening at Harry Griffen Park. The family-friendly events are free and presented by the Boys and Girls Club of East County Foundation.
Harry Griffen Park is located at 9550 Milden Street in La Mesa. It’s a great opportunity for you to grab a friend or pack up the kids and head out for some beautiful weather and an evening of music. The upcoming bands include:
• June 30 – Coolish acoustic rock
• July 14 – Jazz West
• July 21 – ’70s rock from Sonic Epidemic
At Lars Remodeling & Design, we do more than San Diego home additions and renovations. We like to play an active role in the community where we live, work and play. As a sponsor for this event, we see it as a nice chance for our friends and neighbors to kick back and relax while enjoying the musical talents of some great bands.
If you’re looking for a fun family-friendly movie night, you can also come to the “Movie in the Park” at La Mesita Park on Dallas Street in La Mesa. “Wreck-It Ralph” will be shown on Sunday, July 26, 2013, at 8 p.m. The pre-show will start at dusk, about 7:30 p.m.
For more information about either event, contact the city of La Mesa at (619) 667-1300.
