A Written Completion Date
We commit to the date before demolition starts, so your family can plan around a real finish line.
We commit to your completion date before demolition begins. Not because we are optimistic — because we built the system to be certain.
The timeline that doubled. The contractor who went quiet. The estimate that kept climbing. Remodeling has a predictability problem — and it is rarely about design. It is about not knowing when it ends, or who is accountable for getting there.
We commit to the date before demolition starts, so your family can plan around a real finish line.
Design, engineering, pricing, permits, and construction stay under one roof instead of being handed off.
Scope, selections, pricing, and permits are resolved before build starts, reducing mid-project surprises.
If a Lars-controlled delay misses the guaranteed date, compensation is spelled out before work begins.
We commit to your completion date in writing — before a single wall comes down. If we miss it for reasons within our control, we are accountable. Not you.
We finalize your scope, selections, and schedule before construction begins.
Our team manages every detail to keep your project moving with proactive communication at every step.
Move back into your beautifully completed home within the time frame we promised.
Why we can guarantee this
Delays come from two places: handoffs and surprises.
Most remodelers sub out architecture, design, engineering, and budgeting to different people. Every handoff is where timelines break. Then problems get discovered mid-build instead of beforehand, and each one pushes the date.
We engineered both out. Architecture, design, engineering, budgeting, permitting, and construction all live under one roof — one team, one schedule. And we finalize scope, selections, pricing, and permits before construction starts, not as we go.
That is why our date is real. We have run this exact process across 1,200+ projects in 35 years. Most companies cannot guarantee a date because they do not own the machine that produces it. We do.

Terms and conditions
Full transparency — exactly how it works, when the clock starts, and what is outside our control.
For more than three decades, Lars Remodeling & Design has built a reputation on trust, craftsmanship, and accountability. Our Completion Guarantee is the next evolution of that commitment — a promise to complete your project within the timeframe we commit to, giving you confidence and peace of mind every step of the way.
We understand that remodeling can be stressful — especially when it comes to wondering when your project will be finished. Our goal is to minimize that stress by providing clear communication, transparent scheduling, and a defined completion guarantee that reflects our Tradition of Trust.
When we contract a project, we provide an approx. start date and an approx. completion date based on the scope of work, permitting requirements, and design selections. These dates may adjust once permits are issued and all required selections are finalized. Once those conditions are met, Lars will establish your Actual Start Date, and from that point, we guarantee the total duration of your project (subject to the exclusions below).
Not all projects qualify for the Completion Guarantee. Eligibility will be determined during the contract review process based on project type, location, and scope. Your Project Consultant will confirm whether your project meets the criteria before your Agreement is finalized.
Commencement Date
The guarantee begins on the actual start date of demolition on your project site. This will be documented by an Administrative Change Order.
Completion Date
Completion is defined as the date when the governing building department issues Final Inspection approval for the contracted scope of work.
Note: The guarantee applies solely to Final Inspection approval. Punch-list items and warranty work do not impact the guarantee.
The guarantee does not apply, or may be adjusted, in any of the following cases:
We're confident enough to put our own accountability on the line.
If your project is not completed by the Guaranteed Completion Date (excluding the above circumstances), Lars Remodeling & Design will credit you $6,000 per month, prorated daily at $200 per calendar day, until Final Inspection approval is received.
Your home is our priority. We’re proud to stand behind this guarantee — because your confidence matters as much as your finished space.
This program is a statement of confidence — not just in our craftsmanship, but in our process and discipline. It reinforces our promise to deliver on time, communicate proactively, and uphold our Tradition of Trust throughout every phase of your project.
Every project starts with a complimentary in-home consultation. We will confirm whether yours qualifies before you commit to anything.
It begins on the first day of demolition on your project site—not on contract signing or planning.
Completion is defined as the date your local building department issues Final Inspection approval. Punch lists and warranty work don’t count against it.
Delays caused by permitting, government agencies, or required inspections are excluded from the guarantee.
Every change order adds a minimum of 3 calendar days to the Guaranteed Completion Date, even if it’s not approved yet.
If we miss your Guaranteed Completion Date, we’ll credit you $200 per day (up to 5% of your contract), either deducted from your final invoice or refunded if paid in full.
