The long double vanity combines cream cabinetry, polished marble surfaces and extensive decorative millwork to give the bathroom the ornate character established during design planning. Crystal-accented gold sconces and the chandelier repeat the selected finish palette, while two sinks, generous counter space and cabinetry support a more functional shared vanity area.

Detailed gold-and-crystal door hardware introduces the bathroom’s decorative language before entering the space, visually connecting with the gold plumbing fixtures and crystal-accented lighting used throughout the remodel. The view beyond shows how the vanity, retained soaking tub and glass shower were coordinated as parts of one cohesive master bath design rather than treated as separate features.

The existing soaking tub was intentionally retained and updated with new French-gold trim and crystal-handled controls, preserving a major fixture while bringing it into the remodel’s new design direction. Polished marble around the tub and extensive decorative paneling reinforce the coordinated material palette and give the bathing area the same level of detailing as the vanity and shower.

This Carlsbad master bathroom remodel was planned around a clear aesthetic direction: an ornate, highly detailed retreat with extensive molding, polished marble, crystal accents and warm gold finishes. The design also preserved several existing relationships within the space, including the location of the mirrored closet doors and the soaking tub, while introducing new cabinetry, fixtures and architectural detailing throughout.

The vanity design became a major part of the bathroom’s transformation. Cream-colored cabinetry with furniture-style bases was paired with crystal knobs, polished marble countertops and matching marble backsplashes. Two antique-style gold mirrors were specified to reinforce the traditional character, while extensive finish carpentry was planned around the mirrors, tub, window and other focal areas to give the remodel a cohesive architectural framework.

Marble continues through the flooring and bathing areas, creating continuity from one zone to the next. The shower was designed with polished marble tile, mosaic detailing, a marble mosaic pan, built-in niche storage and a bench, along with a custom glass enclosure. The existing soaking tub was retained and incorporated into the new design with a polished marble surround and detailed paneling, allowing a major existing fixture to remain while the finishes around it were completely updated.

Fixture selections added another layer of consistency. French-gold plumbing with crystal details was selected for the two vanity faucets, tub and shower, while the shower includes both a wall-mounted jetted shower head and an adjustable handheld fixture. A new toilet and white drop-in sinks complete the plumbing plan. Decorative lighting—including crystal-accented sconces and a chandelier over the tub—was chosen to reinforce the same traditional, ornamented design language.
